What Summafolio does

Reads statements

PDF, CSV, OFX and QFX from banks and brokerages, across many accounts and many years.

Reconciles everything

Charges equal credits, and every account ties to its statement balance and share count.

Formats for court

Schedules in the structure your state uses, with a cover page, summary and verification page.

You stay in control

Review every category, add notes, sign off. Nothing is filed or sent without you.

Reconciliation first

An accounting that balances isn't enough. It has to tie to the bank.

Most errors in fiduciary accountings aren't arithmetic. They're a missed statement, a deposit categorized twice, a transfer counted as income. Summafolio checks the accounting identity and also rebuilds every account from its statements, so a gap shows up before a judge, a beneficiary or opposing counsel finds it.

  • Opening balance plus deposits minus withdrawals must equal each closing statement balance
  • Share positions at the end must match the final brokerage statement
  • Missing months and statement breaks are flagged
  • Until everything ties out, exports are watermarked Draft: not reconciled and sign-off is blocked

Built for real matters

The depth a professional accounting needs

Not a spreadsheet template. A complete fiduciary ledger with the rules that govern it.

Principal and income

Defaults from the Uniform Principal and Income Act, with the citation shown for every allocation. Edit the rules or lock an override.

Gains, losses and basis

Lot-level carry values, FIFO sales, splits, in-kind distributions and date-of-death values carried through to every sale.

Distributions by beneficiary

Per-beneficiary statements and a plain-English summary letter for each beneficiary.

Unusual transactions

Payments to the fiduciary, cash withdrawals, possible duplicates, benefits paid after death and large or round-number items.

Fee calculators

Statutory compensation for California, Florida, New York and Texas estates, with the tiers and the base shown.

Audit trail and sign-off

A hash-chained change log, reviewer notes and sign-off that's revoked automatically if anything changes later.

Real sample reports, not mockups

Each sample was produced by Summafolio from a fictional matter: statements generated, read back, categorized, reconciled and rendered.

Fourteen states and a uniform format

Formatted to the structure your court expects

Where a state publishes a model or official format, the accounting follows its structure: the California §1061 summary, Florida's Rule 5.346 model, New York's JA-4 and JA-7 schedules, Ohio Form 13.0, Michigan PC 583 and more. Everywhere else, the uniform format based on the national fiduciary accounting standards, with state notes.

We never claim a court has approved a format. Some courts require their own forms; where they do, we say so and produce the schedules and totals to carry over.

Who it's for

For the people who sign the accounting, and the people who check it

Trustees and executors

Family members and professional fiduciaries who need a complete, balanced accounting without rebuilding a year of statements by hand.

Estate planning attorneys

Prepare client accountings in a firm workspace, review every schedule and hand the court a clean, consistent document.

CPAs and paralegals

Start from reconciled data with sources for every line, plus a review packet with the workbook, exceptions and audit log.

One accounting, one price.

$349 for a standard accounting, $699 for complex matters. Every export and re-render included.
